Teviot and Liddesdale Neighbourhood Support Fund
The Teviot and Liddesdale Neighbourhood Support Fund for 2023/24 has £42,465 available to support community activity.
The Teviot and Liddesdale Area Partnership has agreed to divide this fund equally between two pots – Pot A and Pot B. Both pots have £21,232.50 available for community projects.
Pot A is for spends in the eight Community Council ward areas in Teviot & Liddesdale. Each Community Council ward area receives one share of £2121.85 for community activity. Burnfoot and Hawick have larger populations and due to this receive 2 shares of the fund - £4,251.70.
Some Community Councils have carried forward Pot A underspend from 2022/23 so the amount of funding available in each Community Council area is listed below.

Applicants must specify which Community Council they are applying to for Pot A funding and the activity must be delivered within that Community Council area. Applicants can apply for the full amount available in the Community Council’s Pot A fund whilst funds are available.
The Pot B fund is open to all groups and organisations in Teviot & Liddesdale and delivery can take place in any community. Pot B has an application limit of £5,000.

Applications
Please read the guidance notes before completing the online application form and advise whether you are applying to the Pot A or Pot B fund. Alongside the application form, please ensure that all supporting documents are provided. You will not be able to submit the online application without uploading your supporting documents.
Applications will only be assessed once all the supporting documents have been received.
All applications will be evaluated by an assessment panel which will then make its funding recommendations to the Teviot & Liddesdale Area Partnership.

Funded projects 2023/24
- Eskdale Pony Club was awarded £282.11 towards a summer Pony Club games rally in Hawick. (Hawick Pot A fund)
- Future Hawick was awarded £995.00 towards uniform purchases and alterations, as well as brochure distribution for the Hawick Welcome Hosts 2023. (Hawick Pot A fund)
- Southdean Village Hall was awarded £800.06 towards the Southdean Craft nights activities. (Southdean Pot A fund)
- Burnfoot Community Futures was awarded £1500 towards Burnfoot events and trips. (Burnfoot Pot A fund)
- Interest Link Borders was awarded £4500 towards their T&L Learning disabilities befriending project. (Pot B fund)
- Hawick Boxing Club was awarded £500 towards venue hire costs. (Hawick Pot A fund)
- Hawick Men’s Shed was awarded £1300.00 towards IT equipment, to replace their old computers. (Hawick Pot A fund)
