Neighbourhood Support Fund

Cheviot Neighbourhood Support Fund

The Cheviot Neighbourhood Support Fund 2024/25 is open, with £48,383 available for local community projects, activities, and one-off events. The fund provides support and assistance with the development of community-based projects and activities for voluntary and community groups that are active in their local area.

Groups who want to take forward projects that will be of benefit to the local community can apply for grants up to the value of £5,000.

Please note, applications for the first funding round will be accepted until Monday 22 April 2024. Funding decisions will be made at the Cheviot Area Partnership on Wednesday 29 May 2024.  Information on future funding rounds will be published soon.

Each community group may submit only one application per financial year. This limit also applies to Community Councils and each Community Council's sub-groups.

Funding can be used for a variety of purposes such as:

  • equipment
  • small capital works
  • hire and running costs
  • maintenance costs
  • capacity building projects

All applications will be evaluated by an assessment panel which will then make its funding recommendations to the Cheviot Area Partnership.

There is one application form for all organisations. Please make sure you read the guidance notes and scoring matrix for information on who is eligible to apply and the assessment sheet to make sure you provide the assessment panel with all the information required, with any supporting documents requested. You will not be able to submit the online application without uploading your supporting documents.

Please ensure you have all supporting documents ready to submit before you begin the application process.

Applications will only be assessed once all the supporting documents have been received.
