Before reporting that your bin has been missed check that:
- the bin was on the kerbside from 7am
- the bin was out on the correct day, check which day your bin is collected
- the lid of the bin was closed
- the bin does not contain the wrong items, we will put a hanger on the bin to let you know this
Business or trade customers should not use this form to report a missed bin. Find out about commercial rubbish and recycling collections.
Rubbish and recycling not in your bin
We will collect recycling which is not in your bin, put it in bags (not black bags) beside your recycling bin. Large cardboard boxes can be flat packed and put beside your recycling bin for collection.
We will not collect rubbish which is not in your grey bin, you can take this to your nearest community recycling centre.
Wrong items in your bin
If your bin had the wrong items in it we will put a hanger on the bin to let you know. We will not return to collect a bin which had the wrong items in it. Remove the wrong items and put your bin out on the next collection day or take it to your nearest community recycling centre.
During periods of winter weather such as snow or ice, we may experience significant problems with collections.
If your bin was missed due to winter weather please do not report this as a missed bin collection, we know which areas we have been unable to collect and will try to return as soon as possible. Please follow our winter guidance during winter weather and check social media for updates.
Please only report a missed bin collection if your bin is the only one not collected on your street, we will try and collect your bin or contact you as soon as possible but we may not be able to do this within five days. Please be patient.
