This webpage displays any missed collections that have not been carried out due to operational issues and have been reported to us by our staff members. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Leave your bin/bags at the collection point but be mindful to ensure paths remain accessible for pedestrians and other users.
We will make every effort to return for your bin but there may be occasions when we are unable to do so. If we have not returned to empty your bin within five working days of your scheduled collection, remove your bin from the collection point. In this instance we will collect extra waste on your next scheduled collection day. Present the extra waste in bags at the side of your wheeled bin. We cannot accept recycling presented in black bags.
We would also like to remind householders to please remove bungee cords, ropes, chains or any other type of restraint from their wheeled bin on collection days for the safety of SBC staff.
General Waste Collections
Lauder General Waste 9 December
We were unable to collect the general waste bins in the following streets of Lauder today due to a mechanical issue; Stonyford, Calfward Park, Thirlestane Drive and Maitland Road. Our advise is to leave your general waste bin presented for 5 working days in the hope we can return. If we are unable to return within 5 working days we unfortunatley have to ask you to represent your general waste bin on your next scheduled collection along with any bagged side waste.
Recycling Collections
Earlston Recycling 5 December
We were unable to collect the recycling bins in the following streets of Earlston today; Broomie Dell, Acron Drive, Oakbank Road and Halcome Crescent. We hope to recover these bins next week so please leave your recycling bin presented.
Coldingham and Rural Recycling 10 December
We were unable to collect the recycling bins in the following areas today due to a vehicle breakdown; Coldingham, St Abbs, Manderston and surrounding rural areas. We hope to recover these bins so please leave your bin at the collection point, please note this may take place over the weekend.
Eyemouth Recycling 10 December
We were unable to collect the recycling bins in the following streets of Eyemouth today due to blocked acess; Hinkar Way and Fancove Place. Please leave your recycliing bin preseneted for 5 working days in the hope that we can return to recover these. If we are unable to return we ask that you remove your bin from the collection point and represent it on your rext schedueled recycling collection alongwith any bagged recycling material; Please note we cannot accept recycling in black bags.
Edrington Mains, Lamberton, Greystone Lees Recycling 12 December
