National networks

  • Gaelic Education | Comann Nam Parant - Comann nam Pàrant (CnP), means 'Parents’ Organisation' and consists of a network of around 30 local groups, representing the interests of parents whose children are educated through the medium of Gaelic at the various levels, from pre-school to secondary level.
  • Fèisean nan Gàidheal - Fèisean nan Gàidheal, the organisation which supports the development of community-based Gaelic arts tuition festivals throughout Scotland. 
  • Comunn na Gàidhlig - Offer opportunities to young people to use Gaelic in fun, social settings, rather than them only having the opportunity to use Gaelic in the classroom. By doing this we hope to encourage young people to use the language, so that they are willing to use the language more often.

  • Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig - Gaelic Education - The organisation charged with co-ordinating the production and distribution of Gaelic educational resources throughout Scotland.
  • Gaelic4Parents - A website for parents and children interested and involved in Gaelic education.
  • Comhairle nan Leabhraichean  - The Gaelic Books Council.  Gaelic Books Council’s main purpose is to support the development of Gaelic writing; to stimulate interest in Gaelic books and other related materials; to support Gaelic authors by awarding grants and commissions; to support the Gaelic publishing industry and; to increase the range, quality and impact of Gaelic literature.
  • Acair Books - Acair publishes a wide range of Scottish Gaelic, English and bilingual books for all ages.
