The Scottish Government’s Scottish Social Housing Charter sets out standards and outcomes that social landlords should achieve.
The Charter says that local councils and social landlords with responsibility for managing sites for Gypsy/Travellers should manage the sites so that sites are well maintained and managed, and meet the minimum site standards set in Scottish Government guidance.
How did we perform
We must provide an Annual Return on the Charter (ARC) to the Scottish Housing Regulator every year.
Here is how we performed on the Charter standards for Gypsy/Travellers between April 2018 and March 2019:
- the average weekly rent per pitch was £50. This was the same as the rent in 2017-2018 and was lower than the Scottish average of £69.52
- Gypsy/Travellers who stayed on the site at Tweedside Caravan Park were asked how satisfied or dissatisfied they were with the management of the site. All of the five people who responded said they were satisfied with the management of the site. This was the same as the average in 2017-2018 and was higher than the Scottish average of 79%
The Scottish Housing Regulator publishes an Engagement Plan for every Council and every Council must make its Engagement Plan easily available and accessible to its tenants and service users. Our Engagement Plan is available.
