Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES)

In line with Scottish Government guidance, we are preparing a:

  • Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES)
  • Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Delivery Plan (LHEEDP)

The LHEES sets out a plan for decarbonising heat in buildings in the Scottish Borders and improving their energy efficiency. The LHEEDP sets out the first stage of actions for delivering this strategy.

We want people to take part in our consultation to share their views on the proposed vision, outcomes, key actions and energy efficiency issues highlighted. The consultation on the strategy is live between 29 January 2024 – 8 March 2024.
