What services do we offer

Our Sensory Services Team provides support for people who have a visual impairment.

Information and advice

Information and advice is available on all issues to do with visual impairment, including:

  • communication
  • daily living skills
  • mobility
  • benefit entitlement and concessions
  • services available from national organisations
  • details of local developments or groups such as the Macular Society

Equipment

You can be assessed for equipment which could help you to remain independent and safe. This can include:

  • magnification equipment
  • lighting
  • canes
  • talking devices

Advocacy and communication

Advice and support can be offered where your visual impairment may be leading to difficulties in everyday living or at work.
