Pay or appeal a penalty charge notice starting SB2
Online payment instructions
To pay a parking charge notice issued by us for parking in a pay and display car park and for which the reference number starts SB2, follow the payment instructions below:
- Visit our parking fines online payment portal (opens in new window)
- Please enter the full vehicle registration number, penalty charge notice reference and click 'Search'. Please note, your Penalty Charge Notice may take up to 24 hours to be uploaded ready for payment.
- The full reference number should be added ie SB20123456 or SB2012345A
- Choose either 'Appeal', 'Payment' or 'View evidence' (photographs taken at the time of issue may take up to 24 hours to appear in the system)
- Do not pay if you are appealing your charge notice. The charge notice will be placed on hold until a decision is reached.
- Complete as instructed

Fines issued by Police Scotland and private parking companies
Parking fines issued by police officers for parking on street must be paid to the Scottish Courts service. Follow the instructions on the ticket issued.
Please follow the payment instruction on any parking fines issued by private companies. Any enquires should be directed to the individual private parking company.

Please note that your personal details supplied when paying a fine will be held and/or computerised for the purposes of processing your payment. Some personal details will be disclosed to banks and other financial institutions in order to process the payment. Your personal details will be safeguarded and will not be divulged to any other individuals or organisations for any other purposes.
