Budget

2022-23 budget

Help influence our next budget and plans for the future by completing our online survey before it closes. Please note the deadline has been extended to 6 February.

All Borderers are encouraged to play their part in shaping our focus for the year ahead and beyond, including through prioritising action across a range of key issues and providing input on the focus of spending around education, the road network and tackling climate change.

The survey also enables you to give feedback on Council Tax and the chance to help develop future plans for customer service arrangements and digital services.

A short video is available which provides more information about the survey and the questions being asked.

Responses to the online survey will be shared with Councillors as they develop their proposals for the next budget, to be set in February 2022.

Our budget 2021-22

A five year revenue budget and a 10 year capital plan were approved at a meeting of the Council in March 2021.
