Civil partnership schedule
When the Registrar is satisfied the civil partnership can go ahead, a schedule will be prepared. A civil partnership cannot go ahead without a civil partnership schedule. The schedule must be signed by:
- both partners
- the person carrying out the marriage
- the two witnesses aged 16 years or over
Civil partnership ceremony
A civil partnership ceremony has the same legal requirements as the above registration. However, the ceremony is more unique to yourselves as the registration staff can provide a more bespoke ceremony to suit your needs and can perform your ceremony at a venue within our registration area or at a local registration office.
As part of your ceremony you can include:
- music
- readings
- poems
- exchange of rings/gifts
