Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
Borders Community Action (BCA) have announced that the 5th and 6th rounds of their Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund has opened for applications.
The fund focuses on prevention and early intervention and aims to support grassroots community groups in tackling mental health inequalities and addressing priority issues of social isolation, loneliness, suicide prevention and tackling poverty and inequality.
BCA are looking to fund community-based initiatives that promote and develop good mental health and wellbeing and/or mitigate and protect against the impact of distress and mental ill health within the adult population (aged 16 or over). The key priorities for the fund are: i) suicide prevention, ii) loneliness and isolation, iii) poverty and inequality and iv) resilience building.
This year BCA are introducing a new multi-year funding pilot, enabling successful projects to receive funding over two years for the first time, providing greater stability and impact.
How much can organisations apply for?
- Tier 1 (under £5,000) - Projects can apply for 1 year of funding only.
- Tier 2 (£5,001 - £10,000 per annum) - Projects must apply 2 years of funding only.
- Tier 3 (£10,001 - £20,000 per annum) - Projects must apply for 2 years of funding only.
