The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 sets out a formal process for participation requests. The Act states that a community participation body may make a request to a public service authority to permit the body to participate in an outcome improvement process.

The Communities and Partnerships Team is a first point of contact for the community regarding participation requests.

This part of the Act came into force on 1 April 2017.
