Local Place Plans

Validation and registration of Local Place Plans

Once a Local Place Plan (LPP) is completed it will need to be validated and registered by us.

The validation and registration guidance document, which includes a submission checklist, will help communities through the registration process.

This guidance and additional template resources required for the registration process are available to download.

The proposals contained within a LPP are not assessed for their planning merit or deliverability at the point of registration.

Registered LPPs

We have an online directory of registered LPPs.

Details can also be access via the online map below.

Removal of LPPs from the register

Registered LPPs can be removed from the register when:

  • the community body that prepared the LPP requests that the LPP is removed from the register
  • the community body that prepared the LPP submits a subsequent LPP which the community body state is to replace or supersede the LPP
