Free school meals and help with schoolwear

We can provide children from P1-S6 with free school meals and financial assistance towards the purchase of school clothing. The current amount payable is £100 per qualifying child and is paid once a child per school year between August and 31 March the following year.

During term time children in P1-P3 will receive a free school meal automatically, but you must meet the criteria below if your child is in P4-S6.

To receive support during lockdown if your children are not attending school, all applicants must meet the criteria below. This means that if you meet the criteria and your child is in P1-P3 or you do not currently receive free school meals, you should apply for free school meals.
