Borders Family Firm

Family Firm is a concept recognised by Scottish Government to promote opportunities for Care Experienced Young People (CEYP). Along with NHS Borders, we have created the Borders Family Firm to support this group of young people. In partnership we offer a broad range of support to help CEYP to progress into a positive employment destination. The Borders Family Firm uses a person centered approach to ensure each individual is receiving the appropriate training or opportunity they require, this can include:

  • work experience
  • individual or group employability training
  • job application preparation
  • interview skills
  • Supported Employment
  • Modern Apprenticeship

Eligibility

  • 16 to 25 years of age and a care experienced young person
  • Have a willingness to learn and participate
  • Be motivated and committed to secure paid employment
