Scottish Borders Community Planning Partnership

How is our Community Planning Partnership organised?

We have a simple structure comprising of:

  • a Strategic Board
  • a Delivery Board
  • four theme groups

The Strategic Board sets the vision and strategic direction, while the Delivery Board manages operational functions and oversees the implementation of the Community Plan and Locality Plans.

Details of Strategic Board meetings can be found on our website.

The four theme groups are:

  • poverty
  • learning, skills and economy
  • good health and wellbeing
  • place, community and connectivity

The groups are responsible for identifying actions and integrating Community Plan outcomes into work streams.

This framework ensures effective collaboration and accountability among various partners. You can find out more in the Partnership's Operating and Governance Framework available on our website.

Our partners

Our partners include both statutory and non-statutory organisations that we work closely with in the Scottish Borders. Their strategic plans are influenced by the priorities coming through our partnership discussions. These have a vital contribution to make to the quality of life in the Borders.

Statutory partners

Non statutory partners

Statutory obligation to deliver

Five of the statutory partners that are listed above are responsible for ensuring the Community Planning Partnership carries out its functions. These include:

  • Ourselves
  • NHS Borders
  • Police Scotland
  • Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
  • South of Scotland Enterprise
