Pilot details - Earlston

The areas and sites across Earlston detailed below will either receive extra cuts during the season or a reduced cutting regime and include the establishment of more naturalised areas. 

Sites to receive an extra cut as and when required:

  • A68 verge at the Mill Road junction
  • Earlston cemetery (churchyard will be cut as normal)

Sites which will include naturalised areas and receive a reduced cutting regime:

  • Mill Meadow – two areas within the meadow will be left to naturalise and cut and lifted at the end of the season.
  • Gun Place play area - access to and around the play equipment will be cut, with the surrounding area left to naturalise and cut and lifted at the end of the season.
  • Everest Road play area – the front section, including the play equipment will be cut with the back section left to naturalise and cut and lifted at the end of the season.
