Employability Day in the Borders

The first Employability Day 2026 takes place on 10 September, championing employability services and the support available across Scotland.

Employability Day 2026

In partnership with the the Local Employment Partnership (LEP) we are pleased to be hosting a series of support workshops across the region, helping people who are looking to take their first steps into work, return to employment, or explore a new career opportunity.

Advisors from our Employability Service will be on hand to offer advice to anyone looking to return to work, change jobs, or simply find out where to start.

Support available includes:

  • Information on employability support and services
  • Advice on courses and training opportunities through SBC, the college and the LEP
  • Help with CVs and application forms
  • Support to build confidence and prepare for the workplace

Anyone wishing to attend can drop in at one of the following venues:

  • Eyemouth Community Centre (Hall 1), Albert Road, Eyemouth, from 2 to 6:45pm
  • Selkirk Bowling Club, Scott’s Place, Selkirk, from 12 noon to 6pm
  • Café Recaharge, 58 Island Street, Galashiels, from 12 Noon to 6pm
