We are implementing a new system to improve payment options for customers, including secure email payment links and the expanded use of an automated payment phoneline.

As a result, customers are being advised of potential disruption to online and in-person payments for a period of time from 4pm on Tuesday 21 April.

Minimising disruption

With the service provider we are working to minimise the impact on customers and are prioritising getting the most used booking and payment services up and running as quickly as possible.

The change over of systems will also impact on the ability to make some service bookings which involve a fee and customers are advised to expect disruption to a small number of booking and payment processes for several days. Direct Debit payments will not be impacted.

“Our payment system is connected into multiple systems and processes across the Council, including our website, so changing over to a new provider is a significant piece of work and some disruption is unfortunately unavoidable.

“I’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and reassure customers that we will be working to restore all booking processes and associated payments as quickly as possible.”
