Notification published for the UK Parliamentary General Election 2024 - for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk County Constituency - nominations for candidates open until 4pm on Friday 7 June 2024.

The notice of the UK Parliamentary General Election 2024 - Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk County Constituency has been published today, 31 May 2024 with nominations for candidates open until 4pm on Friday 7 June 2024.

A briefing session is scheduled for prospective candidates for the Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk Constituency via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, 4 June at 6pm.  Interested parties should contact the Elections Team at elections@scotborders.gov.uk.

 

If you’re not on the register of electors you can’t vote - make sure you are registered by midnight on Tuesday 18 June. Visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to register online, or by contacting the Electoral Registration Officer by calling 01835 825100. 

To vote by post you need to apply by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June. Apply for a postal vote - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) or by contacting the Electoral Registration Officer by calling 01835 825100 or emailing Electoral.Registration@scotborders.gov.uk   

The deadline for receiving new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June. Apply for a proxy vote - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) or by contacting the Electoral Registration Officer by calling 01835 825100 or emailing Electoral.Registration@scotborders.gov.uk

Applications for Voter Authority Certificates or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 26 June 2024. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: Apply for photo ID to vote (called a ‘Voter Authority Certificate’) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
