Katie is Christmas card winner

A colourful festive design produced by a Selkirk school pupil has been chosen as our official Christmas card for 2023.

Katie Lukosius’s design won the competition, which saw dozens of entries from pupils throughout the school.

As well as seeing her design feature as our main Christmas card, the Primary 6 pupil was also presented with a £25 voucher for her efforts.

Second place went to Alice Lawlor, who received a £15 book voucher and third was Lily Munro, who picked up a £10 book token.

The winning designs were chosen by Convener Watson McAteer.

“We choose a different school each year to run our Christmas card competition, and we were thrilled to work with Knowepark Primary School in Selkirk this festive season.

"It was a really difficult decision to decide on the winning design, but the warm festive feel of Katie’s design won us all over.

“A big thank you to headteacher Mrs Wilson and hard-working staff for helping to co-ordinate the competition.”
