Post Office delivering services in Scottish Borders headquarters

Post Office services are once again available in our headquarters in Newtown St Boswells.

This restores Post Office services to the village after the forced closure due to Coronavirus.  Post Office counter services available include letters and parcel services, foreign exchange, home shopping returns, bill payments and everyday banking services. Providing eight hours of Post Office services a week for the convenience of customers.

 

Opening hours are Monday 10:00am to 1:00pm, Tuesday 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Thursday 10:00am to 12:00.  

 

David Robertson, Chief Executive, said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community so we're delighted the Post Office services have been restored to Newton St Boswells servicing the village and surrounding areas.  The Post Office opening hours and the central location, with parking, make it convenient for customers.”

 

Lynne Ferguson, who manages the Post Office service in SBC also manages the Denholm Post Office and two mobile vans which cover 16 villages in the Borders.  Lynne said: “I know how important Post Office services are to the people in their local communities, so many things cannot be done online and a lot of people still prefer to do things in person, I’m very pleased we were able to reopen the branch in SBC headquarters to give that option.”

 

Post Office customers and members of the public can also make use of the café now open in HQ.  The café is in the reception area and is open Tuesday to Thursday, 9.00am to 2.00pm. Please note - cash only
