We have welcomed the publication of the Joint Scottish Borders Adult Support and Protection Inspection report, issued by the Care Inspectorate on 18 October 2022.
Strengths highlighted in the report include:
- improved outcomes for adults at risk of harm through the provision of effective adult support and protection practice by knowledgeable, competent, and confident staff
- high quality and effective risk assessment and management of risks
- collaborative, cohesive and decisive strategic leadership for adult support and protection
- impressive and effective multi-agency working.
Adult Support and Protection is a multi-agency responsibility undertaken by ourselves, NHS Borders and Police Scotland, overseen by a combined Public Protection Committee.
