With one week until the voter registration deadline for local elections in May, anyone living in Scotland who will be 16 or over on 5 May is urged to make sure they are registered in time
Residents who want to have their say on who represents them in Scottish Borders Council can apply online.
The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Monday 18 April.
Those on the electoral register can apply to be a postal voter, the deadline to get a completed postal vote application to the Electoral Registration Officer is by 5pm on Tuesday April 19.
If you are unable to get to the polling station on election day, the deadline for proxy vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday April 26.
