Councillor Scott Hamilton has been appointed Executive Member for Economic Regeneration at Scottish Borders Council, taking over responsibility of this area from Council Leader, Councillor Mark Rowley
Councillor Hamilton was previously the Executive Member for Transformation and Service Improvement, with these responsibilities now being included in the Leader’s portfolio.
Councillor Hamilton has also been appointed to represent Scottish Borders Council on the Regional Economic Partnership.
Full Council also agreed yesterday to the Leader being able to appoint a substitute to represent the Council on the Convention of the South of Scotland, should the Leader or Councillor Haslam, Executive Member for Finance and Budget Oversight, be unavailable to attend.
