Application and assessment process

The fund for 2021-22 has been divided into two pots each containing £23,899.63. Pot A will support activity within community council ward areas while pot B is aimed at the wider Teviot and Liddesdale area.

The closing date for applications is Friday 12 November. Subsequent rounds will follow if the funding is not allocated.

Councillor Robin Tatler, Executive Member for Community Development and Localities

“I am delighted to be able to confirm that the Teviot and Liddesdale Community Fund is now open. This is a tremendous opportunity for residents and groups to get together and think about how a grant could be used to fund initiatives in their local area.

“A good starting point is some of the great ideas that have been successful in the past but I am also sure that people will be thinking about other new and innovative projects that will be worthy of consideration. What is important is that you get your application in ahead of the closing date so you don’t miss out.”

Build Back a Better Borders Recovery Fund

Applications are also welcomed for the Council’s Build Back a Better Borders Recovery Fund, established as part of the response and recovery efforts relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fund is available for one-off new initiatives and projects and has been divided between the five localities of Berwickshire, Cheviot, Eildon, Teviot and Liddesdale and Tweeddale. More information is available on our website
