We have been in regular contact with the Home Office and CoSLA in preparation for the hosting of Afghan families.
Our plans are at an advanced stage and we expect to be able to accommodate up to five families, due to arrive in the coming weeks.
Support will be provide through local services.
Offers of donations and other support
There have been many offers of support from within our communities and we would like to thank all of those who have been thinking of the families prior to their arrival.
We would ask that donations are made to local charities whom we will approach if specific items are required.
