A series of survey works are to be undertaken this summer in preparation for the new Galashiels Community Campus.
Upcoming investigation works and surveys
On Tuesday 13 July, a number of hand trial digs will be undertaken around the existing swimming pool and associated car park as well as localised areas within Scott Park. The works are only planned to last for one day.
Throughout the summer, there will be a number of further surveys undertaken on the site including a drainage survey of the existing culvert to the rear of the site and a root survey of key protected trees.
The findings of all surveys will help inform the final design and ensure the long term protection and preservation of the area.

The online consultation provides the opportunity for the wider community to view detailed plans for the Campus and provide their views on the outlined plans.
