Community Enhancement Trust 2022/23
The Community Enhancement Trust funded community groups to assist in the:
- Advancement of community development.
- The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science, including the upkeep of heritable assets.
- The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
Applications were open April 2022 – March 2023 or until available funds were spent. A total of £4,804.62 was awarded to four community groups:
- £470 was awarded to Auld Earlston (Eildon) for exhibition costs (hall hire and materials)
- £1,703.38 was awarded to Lauderdale Library (Eildon) for running costs support
- £2,382.54 was awarded to Future Hawick (Teviot & Liddesdale) for the Hawick Welcome Project
- £248.70 was awarded to Tweeddale U3A Local history Group (Tweeddale) for Historic Town Trail printed guide leaflets
