The Walled Garden is home to a Community Garden where fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs are grown organically by and for the community who volunteer.

The community garden is run by Scottish Borders Council with volunteering sessions held throughout the week. If you would like to find out more information on becoming a volunteer, please contact the Community Greenspace Officer by email Lisa.brydon@scotborders.gov.uk

There are also memorial trees, shrub and wildflower beds and seating areas, as well as a new glasshouse erected in Autumn 2022 for the community growing project and volunteers.

The garden is part of Wilton Lodge Park which caters for a wide range of users. In the park there is a destination play park and a museum housing a wide variety of permanent displays of local themes, natural sciences and militaria, as well as visual art.

Tree-lined walks, a waterfall and formal gardens are also main features of the park with autumn tree colours a particular highlight.
