- A taxi operator licence is required for running a taxi for hire. The licence allows you to pick up fares either by advance booking or by being hailed on the street.

- £747 which can be paid either in a single initial payment or by three annual instalments currently £249 but subject to any future increases which the Council may agree. Fees cover costs involved in the application process and are non refundable. You should note that after payment, full consideration and processing, your licence may not be granted. The application fee will not be refunded to you even if your licence is not granted.
