The Scottish Parliamentary Elections took place on Thursday 5 May 2016, with the count taking place at Springwood Park in Tweedbank.

Christine Grahame  of the Scottish National Party (SNP) was elected as MSP for Midlothian South, Lauderdale and Tweeddale.
