The first ever Scottish Borders round of the fun, fast and free to spectate Tour Series cycling event will be held in Galashiels on Wednesday 4 May.
The Tour Series takes place in town and city centres across the UK, attracting large crowds.
Launched in 2009, the series sees Britain’s best male and female riders compete against each other in a unique, team-based format as part of a full day of sporting and community-focused activities. It is the UK’s premier professional cycle race series, with national and international television coverage.
British sporting heroes Laura Kenny, Tom Pidcock, Dani Rowe, Joanna Rowsell, Ed Clancy, Elinor Barker and Katie Archibald have all competed in the series during its history, during which time nearly two million fans have watched a round.

This year, Galashiels will host Stage Two of the series on a fast paced circuit around the town centre, with the finish at Bank Street gardens. The event encourages the community and businesses to get involved and be part of this exciting event and make it a true celebration of cycling.
The men's race will start at 5.30pm, followed by the women's race at 7.30pm. Throughout the day there will be other activities and entertainment around the 0.6mile course in the heart of Galashiels.
