- The Scottish Borders Woodland Strategy is to provide a planning tool and policy guidance for Scottish Borders Council for use in conjunction with its New Way Forward Structure Plan; to provide a framework policy document for the development of forestry in Scottish Borders that will be widely supported and will help secure financial resources to deliver the Strategy's vision/to provide a regional expression of the Scottish Forestry Strategy and to assist the Forestry Commission in considering the suitability of applications for Grant assistance for planting and management of woodlands.
