Domestic Abuse Advocacy Support Service
A specialist service established to support victims of domestic abuse, in particular those which are determined as high risk cases. The DAAS Service will take referrals for both male and female victims and will respond to referral seven days a week. All referrals will be responded to within 24-48 hours after an incident.
The DAAS Service will support victims and their families following the initial incident through risk assessment and safety planning. They will support victims through any court proceedings and refer on to support services, such as the Children 1st Borders – Domestic Abuse Service, who will be able to provide long term practical and emotional support.
