- How many safety incidents related to the a) primary b) secondary school estate (buildings, walls, construction, grounds etc.) have been reported each year for the last ten years?

- The Council does not categorise safety related incidents specifically as "building safety incidents" in their reporting system. To extract such data would require manually reviewing each incident report, which would be an unreasonable burden and thus refused under regulation 10(4)(b) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004. Schools use the same reporting system as the Council?s Health and Safety Department, and thus we are similarly unable to provide categorised data. In summary, Scottish Borders Council does not maintain a readily accessible or categorised record of safety incidents specifically related to the school estate (buildings, grounds, etc.) for primary and secondary schools over the past ten years.
