Request or Question: Please can you tell me the number of young people registered as having: 1) Dycalculia
2) dyslexia
On SEEMIS each year for the past 5 complete academic years?
For the avoidance of doubt 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24.
Response: Pupils Recorded as having Dyslexia by Academic Year ( P1-S6)

Unfortunately, our current system does not allow this to be registered therefore no data is available for dyscalculia. Schools use the same reporting system and thus similarly are unable to provide this data. Schools may record dyscalculia in SEEMiS under ASN ?other? however it would be a written note and would require a manual check, therefore, the Council have concluded that the cost of complying with your request would be more than 600. Under S12 (1) of FOISA 2002 Scottish Borders Council is not obliged to comply with a request that is estimated to exceed this cost.
