I would be grateful if you could tell me, for the years; -2022/23 -2023/24 -2024/25 -2025/26 -The amount in total budgeted by the council or HSCP for the provision of adult counselling services. -How much was spent on adult counselling services provided directly by the council or HSCP. -
How much was spent on the commissioning of adult counselling services from other organisations. -
The names of organisations that were commissioned to provide counselling to adults. -
The number of adult counselling services opened by the council/HSCP. - -
The number of adult counselling services closed by the council/HSCP. -
The amount forecast to be spent on adult counselling in 2026/27 by the board.
When I say adult counselling services, I am referring to services that align with the definition provided on NHS Inform: structured, talking-based therapy delivered by trained professionals to help people explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. - From a Mental Health/Learning Disability and Psychology perspective we are not aware of any adult counselling services for service users/patients and do not employ any counsellors. Scottish Borders Council does not hold the information requested; therefore we refer to S17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare that the information is not held.
