Perinatal Mental Health Borders - Family support directory

When support is available
We offer services to help to the mothers, parents and families of the Scottish Borders who are affected by all aspects of perinatal mental health issues. We provide a neutral space for mothers, fathers and parents to have in-person 1-to-1 sessions with highly qualified and experienced therapists, where they can process their experiences and find ways to cope better with the emotional toll of being a parent. We offer support in Counselling and Psychotherapy, EMDR Trauma Therapy, Infant Massage, Woodland Walk and Talk, Nutrition, Family Learning, Parent and Infant Dyadic Therapy and Art Psychotherapy. Our creche is available to all of our families, whilst receiving support.
More information
Referrals can be made through your health professional such as your Health Visitor, GP, Midwife or Family Nurse Practitioner. We are unable to accept self-referrals, however, if you or a loved one is experiencing distress or difficulty connected to pregnancy, birth or early parenting, we would be happy to speak with you and support you through our referral process, via your health professional.
