- Can Scottish Borders Council please provide details how much Ultra-processed food (UPF) is used in school meals. By UPFs I am using the definition set by leading health charities, 'Ultra-processed foods usually contain ingredients that you wouldn’t add when cooking homemade food'. Can you provide details of how many meal items on school menus are either entirely UPF (sausages, bacon, confectionery, etc) or partially UPF (i.e. baked potato with coronation chicken filling).
