Brief overview of the variation applied for - Amendments to licence, operating plan and layout plan, which include the following :-
• a change to the core On Sale Hours –
Current On Sale Hours
11am – 12 midnight Mon to Thurs; 11am – 1am Fri & Sat; and 12 noon – 12 midnight Sun
Proposed On Sale Hours - 11am – 12 midnight Sun to Wed; and 11am – 1am Thurs, Fri & Sat
• a change to the core Off Sale Hours –
Current Off Sale Hours - 11am – 10pm Mon to Sat; and 12 noon – 10pm Sun
Proposed Off Sale Hours - 11am – 10pm Mon to Sun
• Q5. – Activities –
(a) Change column 4 from NO to YES for Receptions etc, Club or group meetings; Recorded music; Live performances; Dance facilities, Indoor/outdoor sports; Televised sport; and Outdoor drinking facilities;
(b) Change Columns 2, 3 and 4 from NO to YES for Conference facilities and Films;
Change wording for having YES in Column 4 to read – ‘Activities may commence prior to core hours but will not extend beyond them without the benefit of an extended hours licence;
• Q5(f) – remove the wording relating to ‘Members Club’.
• Q6 - Children and Young Persons - a change to the terms/explanation relating to children and young persons access :-
(a) Terms of access - amend wording in paragraph 1 to read - Children accompanied by a responsible adult may access the premises when attending a pre-arranged private function and Young Persons may do so for the same purpose, but without adult accompaniment. The premises may be used for community events when Children and Young Persons are present and in such cases the bars will be shuttered and closed;
(b) Times of access - amend wording in paragraph 2 (Note) to remove the word ‘membership’;
(c) Parts of premises allowed access - amend wording to read – allowed access to all public areas, with the exception to the upper floor sports bar and not within the vicinity of the bar area.
• Re-name the upper function room as a sports bar hosting pool tables and darts.
• Remove the Members Club status afforded under the terms of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. - Objections
