Can you tell me how many trees the council has ordered to be removed in the last 10 years? I would like information on all trees felled by council departments including those on streets and in woodlands.
And how many have been replanted in that period?
Can you specify how many trees were cut down because they faced insurance claims?
Can you specify how many trees were cut down to allow the construction of housing developments?
if providing stats going back 10 years is not possible can you provide stats for tree felling for the past 5 or 3 years? - Response

1. Records held by Parks and Environment relate to the felling of trees as a result of planned cyclical surveys (visual tree assessments) to identify safety defects that do, or may, pose a risk to public safety. There will have been ad hoc removals of trees that have arisen for safety reasons during the time period concerned but we do not keep records of all those individual removals, however have included where they do exist.
Numbers of trees felled are:
2015 0
2016 - 4
2017 9
2018 91
