1. The National Fraud Initiative (NFI) is a UK-wide counter-fraud 2-year exercise led by the Cabinet Office and Audit Scotland. Scottish Borders Council will be participating in the next 2-year exercise 2024-2025.
2. Scottish Borders Council has a variety of processes and control checks using relevant business applications associated with payments to third parties that underpin compliance with its Financial Regulations.
3. Scottish Borders Council utilises an ERP system Business World provided by UNIT4. The renewal date of the contract is 31 December 2025 with option for a year extension (3 year +1 contract).
