As a contributor to redress scheme for survivors of abuse in care in Scotland, as listed on the contribution list, can you please tell me, out of the 100,000,000 overall by all committed local authorities, the amount of money this local authority has committed to make? 2. Can you please tell me the total amount this local authority has spent and contributed so far to the redress scheme?
3. Could you please break down this cost into money spent since 8th December 2021? - Response
- The local authority contributions are top sliced from the General Revenue Funding given annually to local authorities by Scottish Government. We haven t specifically spent the money as we didn t receive it in the first place, it went directly from Scottish Government to the Redress Scheme. Our contribution would have been our share of 5M in 2022/23 and 6m in 2023/24 We haven t specifically spent the money as we didn t receive it in the first place, it went directly from Scottish Government to the Redress Scheme.
