- It has been announced that the management of the Borders Book Festival have ended their sponsorship partnership with Bailie-Gifford and have lost that source of funding as a result. How much funding is presently provided by Scottish Borders Council to the Borders Book Festival, and has any further funding from Sottish Borders Council been requested by the Festival management, or will further funding be made available by Scottish Borders Council to make up for any shortfall?

- The Scottish Borders Book Festival has received the following funding: Strategic event funding core festival, 40,000; Youth Media Project, 3,000; and Green Initiatives and Active Travel, 10,000. No further funding has been requested from the festival organisers. At present the council has no further funding obligations.
