3. Of the packages subjected to review, how many people have had a reduction in their social care package between 1st January 2024 and the 31st of March 2024? a. How many packages in the same period have been terminated altogether?
4. Of the number identified in question 1 to 3a (inclusive), how many of these were social care packages for people living with dementia?
5. What was the shortest, longest, and average notice period recipients of social care packages were given that their package was: a. Being reviewed b. Being reduced c. Being terminated
6. How was notice of the review or changes to social care packages provided to recipients?
Response
1596 (Care Packages included: Homecare, Extra care, HWC, Direct Payment, ISF) 415 (based on adult outcome reviews completed in period for clients in Q1) 35 people receiving less hours for the services in Q1 and had an outcomes review completed in the period. 34 people receiving hours on 01/01/24 who no longer received those hours on 31/03/24 and had a review completed in the period. 60 (based on primary service user group) All reviews and changes to support plans are discussed with service users or their legal proxy before these interventions take place and timescales agreed, these may vary from case to case. If there is disagreement there are escalation, dispute and complaints processes and if appropriate changes may be halted in some circumstances pending outcome of dispute or complaint. All changes are communicated to the service user or legal proxy verbally and the amended support plan is shared and signed by the service user or proxy.
