Request or Question
A) All sex education material taught in the schools under the council between the years of 27/5/2019-27/5/2024 with a disclosure of the age groups the material is taught too. B) A disclosure of all complaints or recommendations if any, raised about the education material itself, particularly any complaints stating dissatisfaction with any LGBT or religious material taught with it or recommendations to add or remove LGBT or religious issues with it.
C) Any planned modifications to the material to be implemented within the next five years if any.
Response
A) All sex education material taught in the schools under the council between the years of 27/5/2019-27/5/2024 with a disclosure of the age groups the material is taught too. Scottish Borders Council can advise that from 2021, all schools have been using the National RSHP resource for all age groups. A link has been provided to the RSHP website : Home - RSHP. For the years 2019-2021, as well as the Beta version of the RSHP, schools were using a variety of resources from the SBC progression for example: Aspects of Living and Growing.
