Please provide a copy of the Council s Data Retention policy concerning pupil standardised assessment data i.e. PIPS, InCAS, New Group Reading Test (NGRT), SNSA, NSA etc. at the pupil, class, school and Council level. Specifically, can you confirm if: o collated pupil standardised assessment data at the class level is destroyed after 5 years. If not, what is the retention time?

o individual pupil standardised assessment data is always added to their Pupil Record. If not, what is the retention time?

Please provide a copy of the Council s Data Retention policy concerning pupil standardised assessment data i.e. PIPS, InCAS, New Group Reading Test (NGRT), SNSA, NSA etc. at the pupil, class, school and Council level. Specifically, can you confirm if:

Scottish Borders Council follow the national retention advise as per the SCARRS policy if a teacher has downloaded if from the individual product sites SCARRS details can be found at the following web address (link below)

* collated pupil standardised assessment data at the Council level is destroyed after 5 years. If not, what is the retention time? The council do not hold this data, we only have access to SNSA data centrally through a portal and follow the retention policy as set out by SNSA
* individual pupil standardised assessment data is always added to their Pupil Record. If not, what is the retention time? Only if there was a need to have it send it onto another school
