- The parliamentary act Church of Scotland (Property and Endowments) Act 1925 transferred ownership of many church properties and endowments to local councils. It was stipulated in this act that every council must, with respect to each parish, prepare an inventory referring to this section of this Act and setting out the statutory properties and endowments of the parish, and each such inventory shall specify (i)the name of the parish; (ii)each property or security forming part of the said statutory properties and endowments; and (iii)the name or names of the person or persons in whom the same is vested; Please could you tell me what is recorded on the inventories for the following Kelso Country Church parishes: Makerstoun Nenthorn Smailholm Stichill Roxburgh

- Scottish Borders Council advise that in terms of Section 34 of the above act, the council are not required to hold an inventory in relation to the Parish, this is held by the general trustees. Therefore, we give notice of S17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare this information is not held.
